Kennedy was born in a pretigious kennel in Tennessee. His mother was a stunning example of their breed, although she had never been shown, and her pedigree was practically ancient, making her the perfect match for his father. He was the only one of his litter, and of all of the litters before his own, to pass every test set before him. He was personally selected to be his father's successor, or as Kingsley always said, his replacement.

Kennedy had every desire to live up to that dream, and was well on his way until a horrid scandal led to his, and his half-siblings, arrival on the Darling farm. Farm life did not suit him in the slightest, and the serious dog turned sullen. He became a shadow of his former self, almost a ghost.
